Places to See in Coral Gables

Out and About!

There is always something fun to do in South Florida. Just look at our beaches, nightlife, and culinary scene! Sometimes, though, it’s refreshing to break away from the ordinary weekend routine and try something new.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden at 10901 Old Cutler Road is a beautifully curated tropical garden with a seemingly endless variety of rare palms, flowering plants, and vines. There are over 80 acres to explore here! Enjoy a tram tour, seasonal events and exhibits, sculptures, and an enthusiastic team of knowledgeable volunteers and workers. Whether you enjoy the science, beauty, or both of the natural world, visit this gem.

If you crave culture, the Lowe Art Museum, located right inside the University of Miami’s picturesque Coral Gables campus at 1301 Stanford Drive, is the place to go. With over 13,000 interesting pieces of art spanning the ages, fun cocktail hours, and visual installations, the museum offers an accessible, memorable art experience.

The Coral Gables Art Cinema at 260 Aragon Avenue is another little cultural treasure. From foreign blockbusters to independent films, this certainly isn’t your typical big Hollywood theater. A great snack and wine bar, friendly staff, special guest speakers, and a more mature crowd add to the appeal.

Just down the block at 285 Aragon Avenue is the Coral Gables Museum, the place to explore local architecture and history. A truly beautiful space, the museum hosts everything from private functions to guided tours and community contests.
